A simple powered glider for soaring without worrying about topography. Largely inspired by the SolarFlight Sunseeker Duo.
The analysis was performed in XFLR5 based on CAD model mass properties.
The tail in the post image (as currently build as of January 2021) is smaller than it should be, especially since the tail boom was made with wood over a U-shaped aluminum profile due to local supplier constraints. (it’s also only taped together as I knew it would be temporary, mainly used for a simple glide-test)
It also currently uses a simplified version of the tail assembly which is faster to print, but exposes the propeller more than I would like it to for hand-launching.
